We understand this can be confusing, but there’s a straightforward explanation.
Movement on the Season Ticket Waiting List depends on your position and the circumstances around ticket availability and list management:
Near the top of the list:
Movement is typically based on actual Season Ticket availability. Due to extremely high renewal rates, this summer (2025) marked the first time since 2022 that we’ve been able to offer Season Tickets to supporters on the waiting list. As availability remains limited, those near the top may only see small movements as offers are made and accepted.
Further down the list:
Movement further down the list is often driven by administrative updates rather than Season Ticket offers. Between 2022 and 2025, a number of supporters were removed from the list - including those who indicated they no longer wished to remain on it or were no longer eligible. Additionally, as part of our ongoing action against ticket touts and the use of automated bot software, further accounts have been removed to protect the integrity of the list.
These types of updates can lead to significant jumps in position further down the list, even though no Season Tickets have been released at that level.
So while it may appear that someone further down the list has moved forward more quickly, this is typically due to list maintenance and integrity checks - not because Season Tickets are being allocated at that position.
