Shape Up Sisters

We have developed a women’s weight loss programme based on our award-winning Shape Up programme. This free to attend project runs as a series of 12 x 90-minute sessions at The Arsenal Hub, requiring participants to attend one evening per week. During each session, you will receive detailed nutritional education, information on behaviour change psychology and take part in some group exercise with our qualified health & wellbeing staff. This group environment will assist you to not only lose at least 5% of your bodyweight over 12 weeks, but also teach you how to keep it off. You must have a BMI of 27 or above to enrol on the programme.

Matchday Health MOT

Before the Leicester City match at Emirates Stadium on Sunday 21 April, Arsenal in the Community will be running some free 10-minute health MOT’s at The Arsenal Hub from 10am to 1pm. These health MOT’s will involve as many or as few of the following checks as you would like to have done: Blood pressure, Waist Circumference, Body Fat %, Resting Metabolic Rate, Visceral Fat, BMI. Our health coaches will then provide some bitesize, useful lifestyle tips and tell you about some of our programmes that are available to you.

Beginners Football

We will be starting a beginners Women’s Football session at The Arsenal Hub. This weekly session is an opportunity for women to enjoy playing the game in a relaxed, fun and welcoming environment.

If you’ve never played but love football and don’t know where to start; this is the ideal session for you!

Walking Football

We run Women’s Walking Football sessions in Islington aimed at over 40’s. These sessions are low cost, low impact and low contact, and are suitable for all ability levels. The aim is not to be competitive, but to stay fit, mobile and have fun. The sessions have a great family atmosphere, and our coaches will guide you through them, even if you have never played football before.
